Having openly confirmed our reports last week that he had agreed personal terms with Liverpool, Aly Cissokho looks set on a move to the Premier League, but in fact to Sunderland instead of Merseyside.
The 25 year old left back admitted to Le 10 Sport last week that there was an agreement with Liverpool, but according to Sky Sports, the British side have now turned their attention to Guilherme Siqueira instead.
As we confirmed to you a few weeks ago, Sunderland made an enquiry for the player and they have now taken their interest further and agreed terms with Cissokho. The Black Cats want to sign the player on a loan deal this season with a view to buy in the future, say Sky.
The deal is not done yet, however, as an agreement needs to be made between the clubs before a move could go through. Sky Sports also report that Turkish side Besiktas could still come in and scupper the move.
