BeIN Sport and L’Equipe understand that newly promoted side Guingamp have accepted an offer of €7.5m for their midfielder Gianelli Imbula.
The club in question is in fact Marseille, who have reportedly finally been successful after submitting two offers before this one that failed. On top of the €7.5m, there is expected to be at least €1m in bonuses.
Whether or not Gianelli Imbula will agree to sign for Marseille is an entirely different matter. The player announced that he ‘is for PSG’ in an interview last week.
Get French Football News can confirm that Southampton had made an enquiry for the player and La Provence also claim that an unnamed English club bid for him at the end of last week.
EIther way, this would be an excellent signing for Marseille who are recruiting intelligently this summer.
