According to the reliable Canal + this evening, Marseille have had a bid of €10 million (€8 million plus bonuses) as well as a 10% of any future sell on fee clause rejected.
As we were told last week, Florian Thauvin is Marseille’s priority during this market, but Lille do not want to sell to their Ligue 1 rivals and would prefer if the player moved abroad. Thauvin remains hopeful of a move away after his position at Marseille has clearly become irreparable.
If Marseille come in with an improved offer, one can not see Lille being able to keep their want-away man. We shall have to wait and see what happens.
