Monday 29th July 2013

It has now been confirmed to us that West Ham and Lille have agreed a fee in the region of €3.5M for the player. Lille are now waiting on Kalou as the player needs to decide on whether he wants to enter contract talks, but it is suggested that this should not be a problem as he would like a return to England. Kalou has already mentioned how he would like to stay at Lille, but he realises how he might have to go as Lille are no longer able to pay his wages due to the new tax on companies. According to fans, the chairman’s son has claimed that Kalou has already rejected the club, but whether there is any truth in this statement is unclear and we shall have to see if West Ham will be able to change the player’s mind. More as we have it.

Sunday 28th July

West Ham have confirmed their interest in signing the player and there are claims that they are in talks with Kalou’s agent. West Ham themselves claim that Kalou likes the idea of a return to the Premier League
