It has been officially announced that Andy Delort will leave Tours FC this summer, after a prolific season in Ligue 2. The forward scored an impressive 24 goals in just 36 Ligue 2 games, and is thought to be one of the most sought-after players in Ligue 2 following his breakthrough season.
The ‘New Republic’ reported several clubs that were after the Frenchman’s signature. German sides Mönchengladbach and Stuttgart have shown their interest, whilst there is interest from clubs across the channel also, namely Premier League sides Leicester City and Southampton. Closer to home, Rennes have registered interest, but the paper claims that supposed interest from Ligue 1 giants Lyon and Marseille is unfounded.
Wherever Andy Delort’s next destination is, it looks like it will be an exciting chapter in his career. Still just 22 years of age, and full of confidence following his Ligue 2 exploits, he could be a real bargain for a club in one of Europe’s top divisions.
