French striker Guillaume Hoarau has agreed to return to Ligue 1 after a short spell away from the action having joined Chinese side Dalian Aerbin in January 2013.
The player concrete offers from OGC Nice and RC Lens but has agreed to sign for Coupe de France holders Bordeaux. The club’s President confirmed as much today but announced a delay in the sealing of the transfer because harsh weather conditions in the small French island of Réunion are keeping Hoarau away from mainland France at present.
The player is expected to sign a 2.5 year contract with the club. With no shortage of interest for his services however, Saint Étienne also attempted to sign him again this month having failed last summer but for whatever reason negotiations broke down.
