Many French clubs, especially the likes of St-Etienne, Bordeaux and Lille, are interested in signing Nice captain Didier Digard, according to French media outlet But!. St-Etienne in particular registered their interest in the previous transfer window.
However, But! revealed yesterday that OGC Nice president Jean-Pierre Rivère said that there has a been ‘no offer that suits him (Digard) or that merits talking about.’
In addition, whilst St-Etienne are the most public suitors of Digard, they have yet to make a formal bid, and the French media are now reporting that Bordeaux are in fact in pole position to sign the French defensive midfielder this transfer window.
