As in the last transfer window, Bordeaux defender Lamine Sane appears to be a target for clubs in Italy and England. Once again, we understand, West Ham are interested in the player and would like to bring him to London if possible. The player did a tour of the Hammer’s training facilities last year, but in the end a move did not go through. A move could be on the cards this time though, with a €6 million asking price, but there is no formal contact between West Ham or Bordeaux as yet, we understand.
However, according to the often reliable “BUT” AC Milan have approached Bordeaux for the player and are looking for a permanent deal this market. Whether this is likely to happen remains unknown and we are sure more will follow in the coming days.
Finally, in terms of interest for the player, rumours in the French press continue to circulate that St Etienne are also vying for Sane’s signature, but Les Verts are currently being deterred by the €6 million asking price.
The defender is said to want out at Bordeaux due to a breakdown in relations with his manager and so a transfer this winter does look possible. More to follow in the coming days.
