According to L’Equipe, Morgan Schneiderlin may make his first Les Bleus start at this World Cup on Wednesday against Ecuador. Due to the suspension of Yohan Cabaye, Deschamps has a place to fill in midfield, and given that France will almost certainly qualify, now may be a good chance to test Schneiderlin’s capabilities.
L’Equipe also predict that Lucas Digne will play at left back, Bacary Sagna will come in at right back and Griezmann will return to the team instead of Mathieu Valbuena, who will be rested.
Full L’Equipe predicted XI: Lloris – Sagna, Koscielny, Sakho, Digne – Matuidi, Pogba, Schneiderlin – Griezmann, Benzema, Sissoko.
However, RMC predict a slightly different setup to that of L’Equipe. They cite the training match, in which the French squad was split into two different teams, as perhaps a better indicator of the two sides. RMC’s predicted team is given below:
Full RMC predicted XI: Lloris – Sagna, Koscielny, Sakho, Digne – Matuidi or Schneiderlin, Pogba, Sissoko – Griezmann, Benzema or Giroud, Remy.
