According to Marca, Marseille have yet to give up on signing Sevilla right-back Coke.
Marseille’s initial proposition of under €3m was perceived as insufficient and the player in the meantime has reaffirmed his intentions to sign a 4 year contract extension with the La Liga side.
His agent also confirmed that the salary that Marseille had offered was inadequate. He did admit that if an improved offer came in, then it would at least be considered.
Marseille are also in the hunt for Javier Manquillo, Atletico Madrid’s promising right-back, who is also in advanced talks with Arsenal.
According to La Provence, Marseille manager Marcelo Bielsa has begun negotiations for yet another right-back, who’s identity is not known at the time of writing.
