Corsican side SC Bastia this afternoon announced that they would be completing three deals in the next 48 hours.
The first is the loan signing of Frenchman and defensive midfielder El-Hadji Ba from Sunderland with an option to buy. The player has struggled to earn game time under manager Gus Poyet. Sources from Corsica tell us this evening that the value of the buy-out option is set at €3m, although we are unable to confirm this at present.
The second is another loan signing from the Premier League, Joao Rodriguez, the 18 year old versatile forward from Chelsea. He has been on loan at Uniautónoma last season, but only managed 6 appearances. He is also a Colombian youth international and will provide boss Claude Makélélé with a potential replacement for Wahbi Khazri.
The third and final deal set to go through is that of Colombian winger Juan Pablo Pino, who has been training with Bastia today. He has a medical scheduled for tomorrow and joins on a free transfer after his contract with Greek giants Olympiakos expired at the end of last season.
