Lyon have spent several weeks working to sign Manchester United’s attacking midfielder Adnan Januzaj, according to our colleagues at L’Équipe.
The Belgian is under contract until 2018 and is currently on loan at Premier League side Sunderland.
Lyon are hoping to complete a loan deal with an option to buy, with club advisor Gérard Houllier having spoken to Louis van Gaal about the player. During this discussion, Houllier and van Gaal also discussed Memphis Depay.
Talks have been initiated between Manchester United and Les Gones in the meantime.
Lyon have also made contact for Angers striker Nicolas Pépé, Ludogorets’ Cafu and Leon Bailey of Genk.
