French centre back and international Adil Rami uttered his first words today to the Italian press after the official announcement from Valencia last night confirming the player will join AC Milan on loan from the 1st January 2014. Adil Rami will remain at Milan until the aforementioned date, to train and integrate himself into the team.
Adil Rami had the following to say:
‘I am very happy to be here, to be a Milanello. I am at the best training centre in the world. I feel good. I am very lucky that Valencia have allowed me to train with Milan until January. This should help me adapt better and get to know my new teammates and my new manager. I want to start this new adventure and work as much as possible.’
‘I already know some of the players here, like Mexes and Constant. That is quite important I think. I am also trying to speak with everybody: Robinho, Kaka, De Jong. Here, I feel like I can be part of a family.’
Get French Football News understands that there is an €8m buy-out clause in Valencia and AC Milan’s loan agreement which would enable the Italian side to buy Rami at any point from the 1st January 2014 onwards; until the end of his 6 month loan deal.
