A host of Ligue 1 and French starlets nominated for 2014 Golden Boy

The nominees for this year’s Golden Boy award were announced yesterday and was decided by journalists for the most impressive youngster playing in Europe over the course of the calendar year. The prize was established in 2003 by Tuttosport with a whole range of media outlets now taking part in the selection process. 

With Frenchman Paul Pogba scooping up the award in 2013, several Frenchman and Ligue 1 players are up for nomination this time out. They are as follows:

Kingsley Coman (Juventus)

Aymeric Laporte (Athletic Bilbao)

Marquinhos (PSG)

Benjamin Mendy (Olympique de Marseille)

Adrien Rabiot (PSG)
