Le Havre’s “99%” signing Brazilian striker Adriano’s future at the Ligue 2 club has been cast in major doubt today when it was revealed that he is suspected of voluntarily aiding drug trafficking back in his home country.
The Brazilian is currently being investigated after it was alleged that he maintained special relationships with drug traffickers and allowed them to use his motorbikes to deliver drugs to the favelas in Vila Cruzeiro.
If found guilty, Adriano faces between 10 to 15 years in prison. In the mean time, prosecutors have demanded that his passport is confiscated so that he is not able to leave the country.
