André Pierre Gignac has received a contract extension offer from Marseille

According to L’Equipe, Marseille striker André Pierre Gignac has received a contract extension offer from President Vincent Labrune for one year, but with the promise that he will be sold this summer.

The reason for doing so is so that Marseille can receive some sort of transfer fee for the player, but Gignac is hesitating over this.

Labrune has had numerous meetings with the player’s representatives this Autumn.

Vincent Labrune is trying to deploy the same strategy for André Ayew, but the Ghanian international has not accepted this yet either.
