Andre Pierre Gignac in contract extension talks

According to local Marseille paper La Provence, OM have begun contract extension talks with striker Andre Pierre Gignac, who’s current deal runs until June 2015.

The club insisted that Gignac must take a wage cut if he is to continue his adventure with L’OM.

He is currently understood to be earning in the region of €308k a month gross. The size of the cut that Vincent Labrune wants him to take is not yet known, but will certainly be a determining factor as to whether or not APG is inclined to accept an extension.

Gignac, 28, has been followed by a number of Premier League sides including Newcastle United and West Ham United.
