André-Pierre Gignac (28, 11 matches and 10 goals in Ligue 1 this season) and Brice Dja Djédjé (23, 11 games in Ligue 1 this season) had already exchanged a few words during a scuffle which resulted in the sending off of the right-back as Marseille lost to Rennes in the Coupe de la Ligue. The two men were at it again the next day before a training session.
According to L’Equipe, the Marseille striker threw a punch at the Ivorian international. Separated by their teammates, the two men then talked it out in a more peaceful manner. This is not the first time that there has been tension between the two men, who already clashed last season.
