In an interview with BeIN Sports, Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger confirmed that he believes that Olivier Giroud could be back earlier than expected after undergoing successful surgery.
He had the following to say:

On Olivier Giroud: “I believe he is ahead of schedule in terms of rehabilitation. The operation went perfectly.”
On playing Danny Welbeck and Olivier Giroud in the same team: “Welbeck played in the same team with Rooney and van Persie. He can play down the sides. Yes I think they could play together or separately.”
On the title: “I am not abandoning the idea at all.”
On Cesc Fabregas: “I don’t regret (not signing him) because we already have a lot of creative central midfielders.”
