Dynamo Kiev have pulled the deal to sell St Étienne left back Benoit Tremoulinas after a change of manager for the Ukrainian side meant that the French full back decided he would prefer the project at Kiev more.
The arrival of Sergueï Rebrov as manager merely gives the player more game time than he previously would have had at Kiev had former boss Oleg Blockhine remained in charge in the truth is simply that Tremoulinas wished to avoid the wage cuts that he would have taken had he joined St Étienne if possible.
Now that he has been given assurances in Ukraine that he will feature in Kiev’s first team plans, any deal with St Étienne is long gone.
