According to Sud Ouest, Bordeaux have ended their pursuit of Newcastle central defender Mapou Yanga Mbiwa after the two clubs failed to come to a wage split agreement.
Newcastle insisted that the vast majority of the former French international’s wages be paid for by Bordeaux, something that les Girondins were unable to do.
