Despite comments from manager Jose Mourinho last weekend that Chelsea were done in this transfer market, Le 10 Sport are now claiming that Chelsea have made an agreement with Kurt Zouma to sign five and a half year provisional contract. The site do say, however, that there is no such agreement between the two clubs and that has to occur before any transfer can take place. Get French Football News can now confirm that Chelsea have done so.
This comes after Zouma’s comments last week saying that he wanted a move to Chelsea after words with manager Mourinho. This situation has now been aggravated by the fact that Kurt Zouma was left out of St Etienne’s squad to face Bordeaux tomorrow, possibly highlighting the fact that an agreement is in place. However, RMC have since told us that the player missed the game due to illness and nothing else.
Despite the fact that the player has agreed on a move, it is still no a certainty to happen as the clubs will have to agree on a fee. Monaco and Inter Milan are also still interested in signing the player and talks with Monaco were still ongoing as of the end of the week.
More to follow.
