Diafra Sakho’s move to West Ham falls through

West Ham United have failed in their bid to sign Diafra Sakho, after initially agreeing a €4m plus €1m deal with FC Metz.

The club has inexplicably pulled out of the original deal and instead demanded that a loan with an option to buy deal occurred instead. Metz refused this offer.

Diafra Sakho had a medical with West Ham United yesterday and passed it.

FC Metz have released a statement condemning West Ham United’s “unacceptable lack of respect”.

The player will return to Metz tomorrow afternoon.
