Everton confirm the loan signing of Lacina Traoré from Monaco

Everton football club has confirmed the loan signing of 6ft8 giant striker Lacina Traoré until the end of the season. The player arrives from Ligue 1 side AS Monaco who bought the player just this window from Anzhi Makhachkala for around €10m.

West Ham United made huge efforts to sign the player but a move broke down when the Premier League strugglers that the combination of the loan fee and wages that Monaco and Traoré were requesting was too great for a mere 6 month loan deal.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has admitted that he very much appreciates Traoré’s style of play and it appears that the over-performing Toffees have secured themselves another canny loan signing.
