With the star-studded squad that PSG manager Laurent Blanc has at his disposal, there are always going to be certain individuals that don’t receive the playing time that they might feel they deserve.
Ezequiel Lavezzi seems to have fallen into that category this season. Get French Football News exclusively broke the news in September that Ezequiel Lavezzi was not happy at PSG and other media outlets are now following suit.
Gazzetta dello Sport reported today that there have been initial discussions between Inter Milan and Ezequiel Lavezzi’s representatives. Lavezzi’s agent was unavailable to Get French Football News for comment at the time of writing.
Inter Milan legend Javier Zanetti was full of praise for the Argentinian in a recent interview:
“Lavezzi is a great player. He would be an excellent purchase. I know him and I am sure that he would do us a lot of good.”
Speaking to Sky Italia, Thiago Motta did not rule out the possibility of a Lavezzi departure in the near future from PSG:
“Football is like this, I think that at the end of the day you need to find the solution that suits everybody. It is the most important thing. If the player isn’t feeling good and is looking for a new challenge, it is right for him to express that want to leave. It is up to the club to find the best solution for all.”
Edinson Cavani the following to add:
“I am not in his head but I know that he will do what is best for him.”
