According to our colleagues at France Football, Premier League side West Ham United have added Sochaux manager Hervé Renard to their shortlist as current boss Sam Allardyce’s position looks to be increasingly under threat.
Renard is generally accepted to have inspired a fantastic late season comeback for Sochaux who missed out on Ligue 1 survival by the smallest of margins, falling foul on the final day of action against Evian in a true relegation shootout.
Elsewhere in the French football managerial merry-go-round, Canal + have announced that current France U21’s manager and ex-Bayern Munich defender Willy Sagnol has be added to Lyon’s shortlist as they look to replace outgoing Remi Garde.
