Get French Football News understands that initial talks over the possible permanent transfer of French left-back Benoit Tremoulinas have not been positive for St Étienne.
Tremoulinas has spent the last 6 months on loan from Dynamo Kiev, but negotiations have not gone smoothly. St Étienne are willing to activate the buy-out clause in the loan deal, but are asking the player to accept a substantial drop in wages, something which Tremoulinas has so far been unwilling to accept. Les Verts are not understood to have given up though yet at the time of writing.
