According to L’Equipe, AS Monaco left-back Layvin Kurzawa was indeed in Manchester yesterday, having accepted an invitation from Manchester City to watch their Champions League match against Bayern Munich.
In an attempt to quash these rumours, he tweeted saying that he was in fact watching the Champions League on the TV, giving off the impression that he was at home in Monaco…
Well, it turns out that this was not true at all. Kurzawa was indeed in Manchester yesterday and met with City representatives throughout the day, before frantic calls from Monaco representatives demanding that he did not attend the game. Kurzawa realised that this would be the better cause of action, so watched the Champions League game on TV in Manchester instead.
According to L’Equipe, the player is very interested in a move to the Premier League side.
