According to yesterday’s edition of France Football, Ligue 1 side Lorient are looking at the possibility of bringing in manager Elie Baup to replace the struggling Sylvain Ripoll and free agent and central midfielder Benoit Cheyrou as a reinforcement.
Lorient sit bottom of the Ligue 1 table with 10 points after 13 games played.
Lorient President Loic Féry is believed to have contacted Marseille President Vincent Labrune about the central midfielder to get his opinion on Cheyrou’s suitability at Lorient.
Cheyrou is unsure whether or not he will quit football after having his contract mutually terminated with Marseille a month ago.
