The news has broken this morning that an offer has been made for Paul Georges Ntep by a ‘major French club.’ The president of Auxerre, Guy Cotret, was quoted as saying ‘We have received an offer from an important French club.’
He also went on to say that, although there is no agreement at his stage, the deal could be wrapped up ‘in the next 48 hours.’
We also understand that Borussia Mönchengladbach are also in discussions, and the ‘big French club’ is not Marseille. Paul Georges Ntep has not been short of suitors thus far in the transfer window, but it looks like this saga could come to a close, at least that’s what the Auxerre president is suggesting.
Ntep has been strongly linked with the likes of Roma and Arsenal and is believed to have been watched by Newcastle scouts last weekend.
