According to media outlet Goal, Marco Basa has told Lille manager Rene Girard that he wants a move this summer to Italian side AS Roma. Rudi Garcia, Roma’s manager, has convinced Basa that there is a need for him at the Italian club, and Basa is now ready to demand a transfer.
According to Goal, Roma are ready to start negotiations with Lille over a possible transfer fee for Basa. The Italian side are thought to be lining up a €3 million move for the centre back, and are confident of it being successful due to the uneasy financial situation of Lille and the manageable wages of Basa himself.
