Now that PSG have reached an agreement for the signing of David Luiz, fellow Brazilian international Marquinhos could be set to leave the club. The player has not made his future clear so far in any interviews and, if he left, it would be after just one year at the French champions.
The player had the following to say when quizzed on the matter:
“David is a friend, a great player. He made right choice joining PSG. His arrival makes it more difficult for me.”
“We will speak with PSG & my agent about my future. This coming year is important for me.”
“Barcelona? If Barca are interested, of course it is pleasing! Apart from that, there is nothing to say about Barca.
However, RMC believe that the Barcelona speculation is more concrete, and they say that the Spanish side will meet the player’s representatives next week in order to discuss a possible transfer. Le Parisien are also certain that the player does want to leave PSG this market.
The defender played in twenty eight games for PSG in all competitions last season, scoring five goals.
