According to French media outlet RMC, Marseille are on the verge of signing Standard Liege’s Michy Batshuayi, after Get French Football News exclusively revealed that the two clubs have agreed a partnership.
The 20 year old striker agreed a 5 year contract with Marseille following talks on Monday and Tuesday, and the remaining negotiations are between the two clubs. RMC believe the fee will be around €7 million, but there are still disputes about a possible resale percentage.
Having said that, RMC report that a source close to Marseille said that ‘the deal is almost completed, everyone is optimistic. The source also added that ‘the player really wants to join Marseille.’ This matter will likely be concluded in the next 48 hours.
