Montpellier Chairman admits Newcastle could be set for Remy Cabella bid

Laurent Nicollin, the Chairman of Montpellier admitted to Midi Libre that Premier League side Newcastle United could be set to make an offer for Remy Cabella.

He said the following to the local publication:

Manchester United have not made a single offer. Newcastle on the hand, it seems like they are on the verge of making one, but I await confirmation. Either way, the idea is that Rémy will remain a Montpellier player until the end of June.’

The French newspaper believe that Montpellier are gunning for a sale of Rémy Cabella at any point in the next 6 months, but that if he is bought in January, that he is loaned straight back to the Ligue 1 side until the end of the season.

More undoubtedly set to follow shortly.

Elsewhere, French reports suggest that Gabriel Obertan could join Evian on a loan move.
