According to Le 10 Sport, Newcastle United have contacted Marseille over the possibility of signing attacking midfielder André Ayew.
The player’s current contract expires at the end of the season and there is a general belief that OM wish to offload him in January in order to recoup a fee for the player.
According to this report, NUFC are prepared to do exactly that, but they claim that the amount that the Magpies are willing to pay is unknown.
Last summer, Marseille were looking for around €5m for the Ghanian international, so his price this summer could be as low as €2.5m.
Sources close to André Ayew were unavailable for comment on the story when Get French Football News contacted them this afternoon.
