It has emerged this evening that only nine of the twenty three members of France’s World Cup squad have obtained the English equivalent of A-levels, the Baccalauréat.
The players to have done so are as follows: Lloris, Sagna, Varane, Cabaye, Valbuena, Landreau, Mavuba, Giroud and Cabella.
The rest have either failed to pass or did not take it in the first place.
