Montpellier’s superstar Remy Cabella was this evening invited on RMC to talk about his future after being one of the most hotly debated players of the January transfer window.
‘I made a good decision to stay at Montpellier. I have objectives, I hope to fulfil them. I was happy that clubs were interested in me but the most important is the pitch, here with Montpellier. I did not think about leaving. I was 100% concentrated with the team.’
‘The coach (Courbis) thinks that I should be aiming to sign for a team that is more important than Newcastle, but Newcastle could be a good springboard. Take Yohan Cabaye for example. He went over there, established himself, impressed and, now, he comes back to PSG.’
‘The Champions League, that could tip the balance. One should always look for the club that suits one the best, where the coach really wants you to come. That is where I will go, we will see in a couple in some months time. It is up to me to prove myself on the pitch.’
