Stade Rennais have contacted the representatives of Bastia attacking midfielder Wahbi Khazri, it is understood, but they are yet to receive a response from either player or club
Khazri enjoyed an impressive 12/13 season with Bastia, where he started his career at in 2009, The player linked up well with Florian Thauvin and was crucial in a win against Lyon as well as other sides. He uses his pace well and can play down the flanks or in the centre of the park, thus providing great versatility.
The 22 year old is a Tunisian international and played for his country six times in 2013, despite being born in Corsica.
