PSG agree to sign Yohan Cabaye from Newcastle for £19m

According to RMC, PSG Sporting Director Olivier Letang submitted a €19m bid offer for Newcastle central midfielder Yohan Cabaye today after we confirmed he had arrived in England for talks. 

Newcastle are understood to be set to reject the offer and negotiations are at an intense phase. 

Letang will resume negotiations with Newcastle tomorrow and will not leave England until negotiations are over Get French Football News understands. 

RMC believe that Alan Pardew may be forced to withdraw Yohan Cabaye from the Newcastle squad for their match vs Norwich shortly if negotiations advance as much as they have done so today. 

Manchester United have indicated their interest in signing their player to Newcastle United, but no formal bid has been made as of yet. 

According to The Guardian this evening, Yohan Cabaye has asked his manager Alan Pardew to let him leave Newcastle this month. 

PSG have not been able to enter contract negotiations with Yohan Cabaye as Newcastle have yet to give them permission to do so. PSG are playing this one by the book it appears. 

Sky Sports now understands that PSG and Newcastle have reached an agreement for the transfer of Yohan Cabaye. We are unable to confirm these reports at present. 

Reports in France emerging that the agreed fee for Yohan Cabaye that Sky Sports are reporting is about £19m. This is a fee that RMC are now also reporting. 

BBC confirm that the player will fly to Paris for a medical tomorrow. Player will be unveiled to fans on Friday night at PSG’s home game vs Bordeaux. 

The player will say goodbye to his Newcastle teammates tomorrow morning during training before having a medical in the afternoon.
