As Rudi Garcia looks to strengthen his squad in Italy, Faouzi Ghoulam is one man who he appears to be watching closely. The French youth international, who now plays for Algeria, has been linked with a move away from St Etienne for some time, but now, according to L’Equipe, this could be on the cards.
L’Equipe were reporting this season that Roma were ready to make an offer for Ghoulam to try and bring him to Italy. Eurosport, however, suggest that such a move is further away, as they claim that there is no contact between the sides as yet.
As Sky Italy report, St Etienne are unwilling to loan the player out and will only settle for a permanent deal. Their asking price is said to be €2.5 million. Any deal looks some way off yet.
