Ruffier likely to stay at ASSE this summer

Stephane Ruffier, subject to interest from the likes of Arsenal, Napoli and AC Milan, has remained quiet about his future at St-Etienne. Asked about his future, he said ‘We’ll see in October or November.’

However the ASSE goalkeeper, under contract until the summer of 2015, will stay at the club unless a substantial offer is on the table, according to St-Etienne president Bernard Caïazzo, who told ‘But!’: ‘We asked him to extend, but if he does not, he will remain and we will see in October or November.’

In addition, Caiazzo also confirmed that there was a deadline on offers for the goalkeeper. Until June 30th, St-Etienne will listen to offers from other clubs, but from that date onwards, Ruffier will become ‘untransferable.’
