Sagnol agrees to leave France U21 post for Bordeaux

Get French Football News understands this morning that France Under 21 coach Willy Sagnol agreed last night with the President of the French Football Federation Noel Le Graet to leave his role for the National youth team.

France Football understand that Bordeaux and Sagnol has signed a two year contract for French to fill the vacant post at the Stade Chaban-Delmas. We, however are unable to confirm the signature although an agreement has been reached, but one does seem imminent and Sagnol is expected to be announced as Bordeaux manager at the beginning of next week.

The thirty seven year old enjoyed a highly decorated career as a player and was capped 58 times by France. His move to Bordeaux looks set to be his first management job with a club side.
