Southampton’s Frenchman Morgan Schneiderlin is facing a fine from his club if he refuses to make himself available for the upcoming Premier League match against Liverpool.
Saints manager Ronald Koeman has previously said that Schneiderlin was ‘mentally and physically unprepared’ to play for the club, but remains firm on the fact that he is not for sale.
Tottenham, under previous Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino, have made it clear that they are after the signature of the unsettled Scheiderlin, but if the Frenchman refuses to play against Liverpool, the Saints will fine him two week’s wages.
