Serge Aurier, PSG’s new right-back, has explained to Foot Mercato why he joined Les Parisiens.
He had the following to say:
“Why did I choose Paris? This is my home. I’m from Paris, I am from the area, so I am very happy to be here. Today it is hard to say no to PSG who have this great project that is in place, it would be a shame not to contribute to its success. I said yes to PSG because there are many things that come into play. I come back home, to see my friends, my family. And I’m in a team that is being built and who wants to win everything. It was important for me to make a good decision. For now, all is well, I do not regret my choice. I hope we will do great things together.”
“Everybody knows my game and the way I express myself on the pitch is suited to the English league. As I always said and I repeat again, the Premier League is right for me. After that, there are other things that come into play. One can not always get what one wants. And sometimes, you wake up, to realize that you were in a dream (laughs). Anyway, I think today PSG have the players and the quality to do great things. I am very happy, for now, to be in this project. Why not try to make history and stay in the club that is being built to become great?”
