St Étienne President Roland Romeyer talks Kurt Zouma

St Étienne co-President Roland Romeyer has announced to local paper Le Progrès that centre back starlet Kurt Zouma will not be leaving the club this month despite interest from Chelsea, AS Monaco and Inter Milan.

He had the following to say this morning:

‘Some clubs have launched an attack for the player but we will not change our strategy. We have ambition, we do not want to hold that back. There have been discussions for Zouma with English, Italian and French clubs. But he will not be leaving this month unless we find an agreement with some of the potential buyers. If not he will have to wait until the summer. We are under no obligation to sell.’

This suggests that St Étienne are yet to receive an offer for Kurt Zouma that meets their evaluation. More to follow in the coming hours undoubtedly.
