Stade Brestois make three signings on the first day of the window

Ligue 2 side Stade Brestois have announced the signing of three separate players on the first day of the transfer window, and are expected to bring in another three or four over the coming months.

The headliner is Chahir Belghazouani, who was formerly at Ajaccio. The rapid attacker will return to France after a spell in Belgium at White Star Brussels ended (loan). The player joins for free on a two year contract with the option to extend by one.

Stéphane Tritz has joined on a virtually identical contract, from Romanian outfit Otelul Galati. The defender was formerly at Tours and had a torrid experience in Romania for six months before returning to France at the end of the season.

Finally, Brest have signed Jason Ranneaud from CFA side Lyon-Duchère. He joins on a two year deal only.
