According to French media outlet L’Equipe, Premier League side Tottenham are in ‘advanced discussions’ to sign French midfielder Lassana Diarra, currently a free agent having left Locomotiv Moscow after the termination of his contract. Diarra has been linked with a few clubs since falling out with Moscow, including QPR and Ligue 1 side Marseille.
L’Equipe also add that Tottenham’s proposed offer, as well as obviously including a salary to Diarra, includes a signing-on fee and also bonuses based on his performance at White Hart Lane. Diarra has already played in the Premier League with multiple sides, including Tottenham’s London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea, as well as Portsmouth. He also spent a few years at La Liga giants Real Madrid from 2009-2012.
