Tours’ Andy Delort speaks out on failed Rennes move

Tours’ Striker Andy Delort has spoken for the first time about his January transfer window, specifically about Ligue 1 side Rennes’ failed negotiations to sign him to our friends at Le 10 Sport:

‘Today, Tours are asking for a lot of money if I am to be transferred, so it will be complicated but nothing is fixed.’

‘I am continuing to work with Tours FC. There are other clubs that have called my agent from abroad. Some good clubs from Spain and Italy. Which clubs? I cannot say too much for the moment, but they are really some good clubs. But even with Rennes, the door is not yet closed.’

‘I spoke to Philippe Montanier (Rennes’ manager) on the phone. Rennes really wanted to sign me, but further up it did not yet work out.’

The player also confirmed that he had been in talks with Montpellier previously.
