Auxerre played PSG last night at the Stade de France in the 2015 Coupe de France final, and put on a valiant show, falling only to an Edinson Cavani header as the Ligue 1 champions completed an historic domestic quadruple.
Unfortunately one man who never got to see his Ligue 2 side’s fantastic effort was majority shareholder Emmanuel Limido.
Mr Limido tragically passed away the morning before the final after losing a battle with heart disease. The 56 year old had been at the head of the club since 2013, and this unexpected death has rocked Auxerre.
