Valencia and AS Monaco discussed at length the possible transfer of Aymen Abdennour following their Champions League play-off clash last night.
Monaco would like a deal worth €30m, a figure that VCF have yet to come to terms with. It is also unclear whether or not Abdennour wants to join the Spanish side.
Barcelona, Juventus and AC Milan are all still involved in the race, with Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United having tried their best in recent days to attract Abdennour to England.
His future should be decided in the next 48 hours, but nothing is yet complete for the Tunisian.
Nabil Dirar, Abdennour’s team-mate and AS Monaco winger, told BeIN Sports last night that the defender was to join “a very big club” next week.
Nabil Djellit of France Football believes the player will join Juventus, whereas the media outlet cited above thinks that he will indeed join Valencia.
Chelsea are believed to have entered the race to sign the player, according to L’Équipe 21 journalist Mickael Lefebvre.
